Important Suitability
Information

To ensure accurate and reliable results, the following considerations apply:
• Optima NIPT can be performed from the 9th week of pregnancy and is suitable for singleton, twin, vanishing twin and IVF pregnancies, according to medical guidance.
• Optima NIPT Plus+ requires genetic material from both biological parents: a maternal blood sample and a cheek/buccal swab from the biological father.
• Optima NIPT Plus+ is not suitable for donor egg, donor sperm or surrogate pregnancies, as the monogenic disease risk assessment is based on genetic information from both biological parents.
• Testing is not suitable for patients with active or previous malignancy, organ or bone marrow transplantation, or recent blood transfusion.
• Additional clinical factors may affect test suitability. Your healthcare provider will guide you in choosing the most appropriate test based on your individual situation.
